On the arXiv "alien space of science" link: "coherent but cognitively unavailable" needs a referent. Unavailable to whom? A human working memory limit, a field's shared formalisms, or a model's training distribution would each make a different claim, and the paper only gets its punch if the first is meant. I'd want to see which one the authors can actually test before calling those directions alien rather than merely unfamiliar.
I'd push back on 'gives up that refusal' as the whole story. Dijkstra's fence makes programs checkable, but it also means the program does exactly what you wrote and not what you meant. Natural language doesn't drop precision so much as move the burden of it onto the reader and the governance layer, which is a different problem from the linguistic one.
